April Updates
Spring is here! And it's a great time. Here is a few things you need to know about.
Game Time Recap
Our first Game Time was awesome! If you weren't able to come, definitely try to make it when we do it again in July. We plan to do these 3-4 times a year to keep track of some numbers. We will likely change the name from "Game Time" to "CrossFit Combine" but that is not set in stone yet.
We tested the Power Clean, Max Rep Bench Press, Max Pull Ups or Ring Rows, Max Time Bar Hang (the worst), Broad Jump, Vertical Jump, and a short condition of 250m row, 250m ski, 500m bike, & 200m run. Remember, our strengths and gym workouts will often peak around these too so you have something to look forward to as you are grinding it out in the gym everyday.
It takes a lot to show up and try really hard at these things. But as everyone found out, it is also really fun to try hard! The coaches had an absolutely blast with you guys yesterday and I hope everyone had just a much fun participating.
10 for 20
We have done our 10 for 20 many times, and some of you used it as your ice breaker into the gym. But to kick off the spring, we will be selling 10 class punchcards (CrossFit or Ignite) for $20. These will only be available for a short amount of time (24 - 48 hours) and are for NEW members only. We plan to do this on April 6th!
If you have anyone in mind that has been on the fence about trying out one of our classes, this is a good opportunity to get them in the door!
Thelo Games Volunteers
As you know, we have our local competition coming up, the Thelo Games 2023 on May 13th. We do need a good amount of volunteers to help out! It generally is a lot of fun. If you think you will be able to help in some way, fill out this form! We will need you from approx. 730am - 2pm that Saturday.

TYR
If you didn't hear it in class, TYR is coming to set up a tent for your guys to try on their shoes and athletic clothes THIS Tuesday April 4th. They will be here for all of our class times!
Podcast
Our newest podcast is dropping today! Be on the lookout for it. We did a rapid fire session where we talked 8-9 different questions that some of you had asked so you will be able to hear a lot of things pretty quickly. We discussed supplements, rest days, high school athletes doing CrossFit, getting "Bulky", and more!
It was fun to record and hopefully fun and informative for you guys to listen to. We
If you haven't listened to our previous ones, make sure you do that! You really get to hear what our coaches have to say about some very specific topics in fitness and nutrition that could be game changers for your personal fitness. The link to our podcasts can be found on our instagram or by simply searching for the CrossFit Thelo Podcast.
Thelo Games 2023 Sponsors
Just a quick reminder that we sell sponsorships during this time for the Thelo Games but the biggest advantage is getting the business's banner hung up at the gym for the full year.
If you have a business or know someone that does and would possible like to sponsor, let us know!
Murph 2023
We are already getting questions about Murph this year. We plan on doing Murph on Saturday May 27th. We will have 2 heats. One at 6am and another at 9am to thin our the crowd a bit.
There will be multiple options to adjust the reps or partner the workout so that the workout is doable. We always want Murph to be more about participation and remembering anyone who has given their life for our country.
Quick Thoughts
One of the best things you can do for yourself is invest time and money into your health and fitness. The amount of time and/or money will look different for everyone/ But time and money are things that we place a lot of value on, and to give those up for your health and fitness requires that you place a lot of value on your health and fitness. Doing this may look like spending more money on food because it is healthier and supports your fitness goals, purchasing a gym membership to a place that actually wants you to come workout and holds your accountable, or purchasing personal training to learn exactly what you need to do to reach your specific goals. Everyone is different. But putting value in these things is an investment in your life that you will not regret.
See you in the gym!
