Summer AThlete

Our Summer Athlete Program is designed to increase strength, speed, and power in athletes over the summer. This 8 Week Program focusses on getting athletes to reach their potential in all areas on the field or court. In all sports, Athletes need to be coordinated and explosive. Our entire training program is focused around that and ensuring that these athletes develop properly with proper mechanics.

We will divide athletes into two groups. Upperclassmen (15-18) and Underclassmen (11-14). The older group will incorporate high skill movements with more volume, while the younger group will simplify the program and lay the foundation to build on for years to come. But ALL athletes will increase their strength, explosiveness, speed, and power.

When? June 3th - July 25th

What Days? Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday

What Time? 2pm -3pm


Who are the Coaches?

Coach John Mayfield is the Owner and Head Coach of Thelo Fitness. An All-State Pitcher and Shortstop in High School, he signed with Snead State Community College to play baseball. After getting his Masters in Exercise Science, he now trains athletes year round and teaches Kinesiology at Jacksonville State University.

Coach Jason Hogan is an Assistant Coach at Alexandria High School. Originally from Ardmore Tennessee, Jason played college ball for Tennessee Tech as a 2-way player. He later finished playing ball at LSUS where he played in the college World Series. Currently he is finishing up his degree in Exercise Science at Jacksonville State.
